At Whitehill Secondary School, we understand that financial pressures can sometimes create barriers to education. To help support our families, we have a Financial Inclusion Support Officer (FISO) who is here to provide confidential financial advice, guidance, and practical support to parents and carers.
Our FISO is available to assist families with:
β Benefits and Entitlements β Ensuring parents and carers are accessing all the financial support they are eligible for, including Free School Meals, School Clothing Grants, Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), and Best Start Grants.
β Debt Management Support β Providing guidance on managing debts and signposting to specialist services for further support.
β Financial Planning and Budgeting β Offering advice on managing household finances, reducing costs, and accessing grants or funding.
β Energy and Utility Support β Helping families access fuel vouchers, assistance for gas and electricity bills.
β Food and Essential Items β Assisting families who need access to food banks, clothing, and other essential items through our One Stop Shop and local community organizations.
β Referral to Additional Support Services β Connecting families with money advice services, employability programs, and housing support agencies to ensure they receive the help they need.
