At Whitehill Secondary, we believe that a smart and respectful dress code contributes to a positive and focused learning environment. Our dress code policy is designed to promote a sense of pride, equality, and professionalism while allowing students to express their individuality within appropriate guidelines.
The dress code applies to all students and outlines the expected standards for school attire, including specific rules regarding uniforms, appropriate clothing for different activities, and personal appearance. We encourage students and families to familiarise themselves with the policy to ensure consistency throughout the school year.
Our school uniform promotes a real sense of school identity, shared values, self-confidence and a shared sense of community. The uniform is actively supported by our pupils, parents and the Parent Council and is of great benefit to our young people
The school uniform is:
• School blazer • White shirt • School tie • Black school trousers – not leggings • Black skirt of appropriate length – very short skirts are not acceptable. • Black shoes
The school tie is available from the school office and the blazer supplier visits the school on an annual basis. The school office can advise on how o obtain a blazer outwith this time.
