Actor & Comedian
Ford Kiernan is best known for playing Jack in Still Game with the actor, comedian and writer having attended Whitehill Secondary School during the 1970s. He was born in Shettleston and attended Alexandra Parade Primary School.
Scottish singer, actress and TV personality
Lulu was brought up in Dennistoun and attended the school when it was named Onslow Drive School.
Artist & Author
After being born in Riddrie during the 1930s and moving down to Yorkshire during the Second World War, the Scottish author and artist Alasdair Gray attended Whitehill Secondary School. He was made editor of the school magazine and also won prizes for Art and English with him going on to study at the Glasgow School of Art.
Actress & Comedian
Scottish stage and screen actress Dorothy Paul was brought up in Dennistoun in Glasgow's East End and attended Whitehill Secondary School with her staying on the same street as the school on Whitehill Street.

Rikki Fulton's family originally hailed from 46 Appin Road in Dennistoun. At the age of 3, his family would move to Riddrie before he returned to Dennistoun to attend Whitehill Secondary School where he completed his education in 1939 before joining the Royal Navy.

Actor Bill Patterson was born in Glasgow in June 1945 and brought up in Dennistoun. His love of acting began during a school trip to the Citizens Theatre in 1961 whilst he was a pupil at Whitehill Secondary School.
Scottish International Footballer
Former Scottish football internationalist James McArthur was raised in the city's Barrowfiled area and attended Whitehill Secondary School during the late 1990s and early 2000s. McArthur was part of the Wigan Athletic side which won the FA Cup in 2013.
