In the Broad General Education (BGE), students are introduced to a range of subjects that not only develop their academic understanding but also foster essential skills for the future. The Business Education and Computing Science curriculum offers young people the opportunity to explore key areas such as business studies, accounting, administration & IT, digital literacy, and computing science. Through these subjects, students develop both theory and practical skills that are highly relevant in today’s rapidly evolving digital and business environments.
Our primary aim is to equip students with a deep understanding of the world of business and technology, while also helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. By engaging with a variety of topics, students are encouraged to work independently, think creatively, and develop strong decision-making abilities. These skills not only prepare them for future studies but also for successful careers in business and technology sectors.
In the Senior Phase, students can choose to further specialise in these areas by studying Administration & IT, Business Education and Computing Science as National Qualifications, available at National 4, National 5, Higher, and NPA levels. These courses offer a blend of theory and practical application, allowing students to gain a clear understanding of the real-world challenges and opportunities within business and technology. Additionally, students have access to opportunities such as leadership experiences, IT certifications, and teamwork-focused courses.
